Pooladkaf Industrial Group’s rebar mesh

Rebar mesh is a sturdy structure for reinforcing concrete; it is used in construction and industrial projects large and small. To manufacture rebar meshes, rebar are placed perpendicular to one another and welded on all points of contact. In Pooladkaf Industrial Group’s production facilities, rebar meshes are manufactured using fully automatic machinery in all stages. Massive machines used in manufacturing Pooladkaf Industrial Group’s rebar meshes are available to very few facilities worldwide and are definitely the only examples in the middle-east. The addition of these huge and costly machines to the Pooladkaf’s production line has allowed a great variety of rebar meshes in a variety of sizes to be manufactured. One group of these rebar meshes is rebar mesh rolls known as industrial rebar meshes which are used in large scale road, dam, bridge etc. construction projects. This type of mesh can be manufactured in desired lengths in single piece, this reduces the rebar mesh usage which truly helps with the costs.

Description of construction rebar mesh:

  • Width of rebar mesh: From 100 to 260 centimeters
  • Length of rebar mesh: From 1 meter to any desired length
  • Dimension of perpendicular rebar 3 to 12 millimeter
  • Ribbed and plain perpendicular rebar
  • Minimum yield stress of rebar: 4200 kilograms per square centimeter
  • Mesh eyes in square or rectangle shape, from 5 to 40 centimeters

Description of industrial rebar mesh:

  • Width of rebar mesh: From 100 to 260 centimeters
  • Length of rebar mesh: From 1 meter to any desired length
  • Dimension of perpendicular rebar 3 to 6 millimeter
  • Ribbed and plain perpendicular rebar
  • Minimum yield stress of rebar: 4200 kilograms per square centimeter
  • Mesh eyes in square or rectangle shape, from 2.5 to 40 centimeters
  • Rolled up mesh for rebar with diameter of 3 to 6 millimeters
  • Variety in distances between perpendiculars rebar based on order in one sheet
  • Lateral stems can be cut off

Draft by the respective committees, standard for rebar mesh and its properties was approved on May 24, 2005 by the Center for Construction and Housing Research during the twenty seventh National Mechanics and Metallurgy Meeting. Now, based on Paragraph 1 of Article 3 of the “Amendment of Laws and Regulations of the Institute for Standard and Industrial Research f Iran Act” of January 1993, it is published as the official Iranian standard.
